FROZEN PUMPKIN DOG TREATS
I love cooking for my dog Hannah. (She quite likes it when I do too!) Since she has been diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease I haven’t been able to cook for her as much as I used to. This is a simple 2 ingredient treat that’s great for the summer because it’s frozen. It has that fall feel though because it’s also pumpkin! (Who here goes pumpkin crazy when September rolls around? I’ll confess, I love a good pumpkin latte or pumpkin beer or pumpkin muffin!) In Virginia September brings out the fall pumpkin but can still have those summer temperatures! That’s why I love this treat. It’s the perfect treat for September in Virginia.
First gather the ingredients:
1c Plain Greek Yogurt (make sure there is no flavoring or sweetener!)
1c Pumpkin Puree (100% pumpkin with no fillers, sweeteners or anything other than pumpkin)
Then Start Making:
1. Mix together yogurt and pumpkin together in a bowl
2. Evenly fill ice cube tray or treat molds with the mix.
3. Put in the freezer for at least 24 hours
4. Pop the treats out of the molds and let your pup enjoy!
Treat Molds
If you don’t have treat molds, here are some bones and paw shaped molds on Amazon: DOG TREAT MOLDS
These are a little smaller molds for small pups: SMALL DOG TREAT MOLDS
